Youthful purple-red color, with a concentrated bouquet of rich, plummy and dark-cherried aromas. Fuller bodied with great depth of black-cherry flavour. Amazing length with balanced tannins.
Steve Flamsteed goes south to uncover a different style of Pinot, a layered and powerful wine from southern Tasmania. It’s sourced from a single vineyard, and trucked and sailed from Coal River to the Yarra overnight. Some whole bunches were included in the ferment and the wine was matured in top end French oak for eight months. Unfined and unfiltered.
