The old vines were planted since 1983, this single vineyard wine from their home vineyard in Derril Road is further evidence of what our fine vineyard site and mature vines can produce in a really good year.
A founding winery of the Mornington Peninsula at the very southern tip of the mainland, 1.5 hours south of Melbourne, the Moorooduc Estate has been planted since 1983. Family owned and run by Richard with his wife and daughter, focused on single plot Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Organically dry-farmed, all the wild yeast, no fining or filtration and they’ve always worked with the same three vineyards (their own, their viticulturalist’s and one leased from family friends).
