The first edition of pet nat in Travis’ portfolio. Light, cloudy lemon in the glass. Some funk on the nose, but nicely accompanied by bright stone fruit, Mediterranean herbs, chalk and some oriental spices. Gentle fizz in the mouth with high levels of acidity and low alcohol. Not much complexity, but still something that is perfect for a BBQ party or a casual sit-down with friends. Tasty!
With the help of the vineyard owner Steve, Travis gets his grapes from vines that grow at the very southern tip of the Adelaide Hills in a small community called Hope Forest. The original carers and traditional owners of this land are the Perimangk people. The soils here are varied but the vines put their roots into mostly clay, sand and ironstone based soils.
