A sparkling wine from New England made using traditional method (Pinot Noir + Chardonnay with secondary fermentation occurring in bottle). Marked with a beautifully rounded structure, elegant bubbles and a fresh breath of acidity. With the richness that it offers, it definitely needs to be paired with some lighter tapas or seafood.
Topper’s Mountain is a very forward-thinking one in terms of experimenting with various grapes outside your classic Shiraz & Chardonnay. And it doesn’t stop at “experimenting”. These guys get some solid results from it. Located in New England, NSW, Topper’s Mountain works on high altitude of 900 metres. Soils are red volcanic aka Krasnozems (as represented on the label). Ten hectares, so much diversity – Tempranillo, Nebbiolo, Tannat, Touriga Nacional and more.
