Grape(s): Cabernet Franc
Drinkability: Guzzle
Light salmon pink in the glass. Pleasant, sort of sweet aromatics – cranberry, candied cherry, raspberry. Very fruit-driven on the palate as well. Simple, refreshing, light. Alcohol is much lighter compared to the 2019 vintage, giving way to a lot more acidity. Great wine, works well at the price.
In 2004, Tomfoolery started as a “fun” project, but over a decade and a half, this duo managed to produce some serious results. Ben “Chippy” Chipman and Toby “Yappy” Yap never tried to pigeonhole themselves with certain labels and their mission was clear – make pure expressions of the beautiful places where their grapes are grown. Find copious appeal for refreshing whites, rich reds and paler shades of rosé.
