Deep ruby in the glass. Blasting aromas of oriental/Indian spice mixed with red and dark berry fruit. You’ve probably never smelled a wine like this, so hats off for the uniqueness Tomfoolery. The body is medium, has a good balance of all its elements and tastes super bright in the mouth. Tannins just right, offering more grip to the whole structure. Medium (+) finish.
In 2004, Tomfoolery started as a ‘fun’ project, but over a decade and a half, this duo managed to produce some serious results. Ben “Chippy” Chipman and Toby “Yappy” Yap never tried to pigeonhole themselves with certain labels and their mission was clear – make pure expressions of the beautiful places where their grapes are grown. Find copious appeal for refreshing whites, rich reds and paler shades of rose.
