Ruby red in the glass, showing medium intensity. Very aromatic, reminds us more of McLaren Vale Shiraz than Barossa – tons of floral elements, sweet blueberries, raspberries and cherries. Big & broad, high alcohol and piercing acidity. Just a brush of bitterness on the aftertaste. Definitely needs more time in the bottle, but this will have a long shelf life.
In 2004, Tomfoolery started as a “fun” project, but over a decade and a half, this duo managed to produce some serious results. Ben “Chippy” Chipman and Toby “Yappy” Yap never tried to pigeonhole themselves with certain labels and their mission was clear – make pure expressions of the beautiful places where their grapes are grown. Find copious appeal for refreshing whites, rich reds and paler shades of rosé.
