Frederick Stevenson Sangiovese 2021 – Sangio scents of red berries, cherry, bloody game meat, white pepper, dried, mixed Italian herbs. Juicy on the palate, riper red berry fruit characters but again the herbs, spice, gamey-savouriness, and amongst all that a weave of graphite-tinged, lacy tannin. Finishes dry, spicy, savoury, after that pleasurable juicy start.
Ravensworth Sangiovese 2022 – Juicy red cherry and red currant fruits show a youthful freshness with some earthy tobacco and spicy fresh herb characters lying underneath. Slightly rustic tannins and bright acidity with a nicely fleshed red fruited finish.
