One of the best Barossa Shiraz on the scene. So incredibly dense and rich. It’s like super-concentrated berry juice put in a bottle. Think everything in terms of flavour – brown spices, rich jam, high acid. Big wine. Needs years before it is accessible, but this will reward big time. Enjoy!
The Standish Wine Company is helmed by Dan Standish, Australia’s cult winemaker. The winery’s Shiraz is made of grapes from very old vines in the Barossa Valley. Usually available only to The Standish Wine Company’s exclusive mailing list, Burnt Ends Cellars has now access to this winery’s fabulous and famously hard to find wines. These wines are specimens of top end powerful Barossa Shiraz well known for fruit purity and great longevity and definitely rank up there with famous Australian wines from Penfolds and Henschke.
