The limestone and shale rock soil profile are reflected in the wine with mineral and slate notes, green apple flavours, and underlying green citrus characters, predominantly lemons and grapefruit.
Frederick Stevenson Barbera 2021
Crunchy berry fruit, some sage, cracked pepper and roasted nuts. Pleasant balance in the mouth with a very persistent concentration of fruit in the front line and some green tones on the finish.
Tomfoolery ‘Burla Negra’ Tempranillo 2021
Remarkably good, juicy nose of classic SA cherry and vanilla with a little medicinal element too. Some Rioja elements in there as well – bit of dusty leather and baking spices. Fine palate of dark fruit with good balance and a satisfying finish.
Chris Ringland ‘CR’ Shiraz 2019
Concentrated black and blue fruits on the palate, laced with sweet mocha and wrapped in a smooth, velvety texture and a touch of a subtle vanilla.
