Origin: Barossa Valley
Region: South Australia
Style: Full-bodied fortified wine
Sweet nose, even jammy if you’d like. Lots of apricot and peach complemented by chocolate and almond cake. Yummy. Beautiful, silky texture. Still pretty fresh. Alcohol is big, but not enough to stop the finish from lasting for hours afterwards. A very fine Tawny style of wine made in the heart of South Australia.
Every time we drink Rockford, we’re marvelled by the care and consideration infused into every bottle. These wines are timeless – no trends or busts in the market will stop one from buying and admiring these perennial drops. They last not because of luck or hype or even terroir. They last because they are crafted with a plain purpose instilled into the mind of the winemaker – to be monumental.
