Grenache & Sangiovese contribute here equally in a lovely manner. Strawberry with some floral notes. Juicy almost strawberry compote flavour, subtle powdery texture, balanced acidity, good finish. Nice drink. Works best with a firm chill, but goes all right a little warmer too.
Margaret River’s coolest crew is finally in Singapore! LS Merchants was formed by New Zealander Dylan Arvidson who started his career in Juniper Estate, but quickly realised that Chardonnay & Cabernet are not varieties he wants to put his main focus on. He ripped the textbook, threw it out the window and started producing wines from obscure varieties such as Vermentino, Petit Verdot, Mataro…There are still some delicious classics in the range, but this winery stands out for much, much more.
