A Riesling coming from the beautiful 2021 vintage. This is just great. Pristine in all respects but with lots going on. Lime and green apple with complex/exotic herb and flower characters, emphasis on the latter. It’s a mesmerising wine in many respects, particularly once it’s had a chance to breathe, thanks to its exotic nature and to the array of scents and flavours. Wow!
Koerner Wine is a partnership between brothers Damon and Jonathan Koerner. The wines are produced from fruit grown in the Watervale area of the Clare Valley, with the majority coming from the family vineyard. The winemaking philosophy is very simple – that is the wines are made in the vineyard. The Koerners pick early and use very hands-off winemaking techniques. As a result, the wines are light, fresh, textured and well-structured with high drinkability in mind.
