Such good quality fruit is used for this blend. The aromatics of Grenache really come out on the first whiff, while the Shiraz plays a dominant role on the palate. Juicy, ripe fruit, without being over the top. Just a lick of tannins and earthiness on the finish. Delizioso!
Besides being one of the pioneers of natural wine in Australia, James Erskine is also a MASTER of Chenin Blanc. Anything that he makes with this grape variety can compare or even outshine examples from the Loire Valley. He also produces wines from Grenache, Shiraz & Cabernet Franc, but we’ve been huge fans of his whites since the very beginning. A spotlight for this man is much needed.
