Aromas of Chenin dominate here – ripe peach, honey, yellow apple. Hints of sea salt and roasted nuts. Well-knit on the palate, concentrated, but juicy at the same time.. Long finish. We see this going with nothing else but an anchovy pizza and rainy days of Netflix & chill. You just have to find somebody that likes anchovies.
Besides being one of the pioneers of natural wine in Australia, James Erskine is also a MASTER of Chenin Blanc. Anything that he makes with this grape variety can compare or even outshine examples from the Loire Valley. He also produces wines from Grenache, Shiraz & Cabernet Franc, but we’ve been huge fans of his whites since the very beginning. A spotlight for this man is much needed.
