Origin: Barossa Valley
Region: South Australia
Grape(s): Cinsault + Grenache + Mourvedre
Style: Light-bodied, crisp rosé made using the tank method
Fruits and florals play around on the nose, very aromatic and enjoyable stuff. Dry with a beautifully integrated acidity, just enough to highlight the bright fruit. Long finish. A great rosé that has definitely shot up into our top 3. Don’t expect humongous complexity, but expect that you could smash two bottles of this easily on a Sunday morning.
Steve Crawford aka the pirate winemaker brings incredible energy and character to South Australia’s wine scene. Steve’s initial goal was to become a chef, but while working in a garden store he realised he wanted to do something that involved travelling and being outside. His grand dream came true and today, he represents the firm backbone of the Barossa avant-garde movement.
