Origin: Barossa Valley
Region: South Australia
Style: Medium-bodied, crisp red wine made in used oak
How is this so good? Tastes like homemade raspberry jam you’d eat out of a jar in your grandma’s dry storage – no bread, nothing, just a shovel – a bit sweet, but obsessively tart all day. More peach and strawberry pack up the mouthfeel, with good amounts of funk rivaling the fruit. Refreshing, soft & just easy-sailing. Undoubtedly one for the books.
Steve Crawford aka the pirate winemaker brings incredible energy and character to South Australia’s wine scene. Steve’s initial goal was to become a chef, but while working in a garden store he realised he wanted to do something that involved travelling and being outside. His grand dream came true and today, he represents the firm backbone of the Barossa avant-garde movement.
