Located in the Moorabel Valley between Geelong and Ballarate, 100km southwest of Melbourne, Gary and Robyn Farr had purchased their original property in 1994 and explanding in 1998. And in 2001, they made a final purchase totalling the winery to 130 acres. With a mixture of of different clones and rootstocks, the grape varieties grown here are viognier, chardonnay, pinot noir, gamay and shiraz. Each generation at By Farr has developed a distinctive winemaking style based on their own individual experiences and tastes.
