A ripe and juicy yet still wonderfully firm, structured and acid-driven Chardonnay with beautiful purity of fruit and great combination of ripe fruit and freshness. There’s no denying that the wine shows quite a bit of ripeness, but it nevertheless retains wonderful sense of balance and freshness at the same time, never once coming across as soft, heavy or blowzy. It is drinking wonderfully right now, but will continue to develop for some years more. Priced according to its quality.
BK Wines was established in 2007 by Brendon and Kirstyn Keys. The goal has been to create fabulous art. Beautiful, unique, sensuous, deceptively minimalist, envelope-pushing art. After learning from masters in NZ, Argentina and California, they trained their sites on the Adelaide Hills. With no pretentions to be somewhere it’s not and few preconceived notions about what wine styles to expect, this is a place where non-conformity is the rule.
