Punchy, tropical notes of passionfruit and an array of spice on the nose. Full and yet dry, texture from the lees contact and refreshing citrus acid on the palate.
In the early 1970s, Stuart Hooper envisioned creating a vineyard that would produce Australian wine of quality to emulate the great regions of France. A major contribution to the success of Bannockburn Vineyards was the strong foundation Stuart provided through his purist, uncompromising approach when he established the vineyard and winery to produce quality wines. Since Stuart’s passing, Bannockburn Vineyards remains the Hooper family’s business, with his daughters as custodians to ensure his philosophy is preserved. The winemaker, Matt Holmes, approaches winemaking by taking a step back and allow the healthy, well-balanced fruit flavours to develop into wines with minimal additions and low interventions.
