AMATO VINO– MARGARET RIVER, WESTERN AUSTRALIA
Amato Vino are small-batch artisan winemakers based in the Margaret River wine region, Western Australia.
Wild ferments, minimal adjustments in the winery, gentle handling makes up the winemaking philosophy, also known as ‘lo-fi’. Most wines are unfined and unfiltered.
Known to be hands-on in terms of vineyard care but a very hands-off approach to the science of winemaking with little or no inputs and employing traditional
processes.
ARLEWOOD ESTATE– MARGARET RIVER, WESTERN AUSTRALIA
Since 1994 Garry and Marian Gosatti have been growing grapes in Margaret River. Their petite single vineyard is inspired by Garry’s Italian heritage, where his great
grandfather was capo of the cooperativa winery ‘La Gatta’ in Valtellina (far north of Italy). Today their two sons Jordan and Adrian manage every aspect in the vineyard
while Jordan’s wife Paris runs the tiny cellar door. Arlewood’s wines are handcrafted by Cath Oates.
POACHER’S RIDGE- NARRIKUP, GREAT SOUTHERN, WESTERN AUSTRALIA
This small, family-run vineyard was founded in 1999 by Alex and Janet Taylor. Poacher’s Ridge is nestled amongst the undulating hills of the Great Southern, on the
western outskirts of the small townsite of Narrikup. Hand-tend their 20 acres of land, cultivating grapes which bestreflect the terroir and the style of wines which they
love to drink: cool-climate, medium-bodied varietals, with a specific focus on Riesling, Marsanne, Shiraz, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon
