Amato Vino Rosso 2022
$58.00
Always good, the Primitivo here shining full on. Lots of fruit-forward character accompanied by a bit of spice in the background. The palate is showing high acid with a brush of ripe tannins. Approachable now, but will go strong for 2-3 more years if you decide to lay it down in your cellar. You have to love how Amato makes these young wines drinkable straight off the bat, something that’s hard to find with old school winemakers nowadays.

Amato Vino Nero d’Avola 2019
$98.00
Some compare it to Pinot Noir, others to Nebbiolo, but Sicily’s noble red comfortably stands alone as one of the most unique grapes planted in the country. Brad’s Nero d’Avola is true to its Italian roots. Aromas of spice, florals and candied berry fruit. Light with mouth-watering acidity and a solid savoury core. Don't expect crazy complexity here or something that will alter your life's view. This is just perfect for a warm, sunny afternoon. Period.

Domaine Simha ‘Raya’ Sauvignon Blanc 2019
$108.00
A very eccentric, atypical and slightly oxidative, yet very drinkable, complex and enjoyable Sauvignon Blanc coming from Simha. There is very little typical varietal character here and the style is more in the 'natty' white wine camp, with somewhat dominant phenolic notes, some terracotta tones of amphorae and oxidative complexity. However, if you don't mind that, this is a lovely little drop - the relatively light body of the wine and incisive acidity make it a great food wine.

Domaine Simha ‘Lotus’ Riesling 2019
$105.00
This Riesling is ripe and fresh with a fleshy body and bright flavors of freshly picked red apples, some cantaloupe, a little bit of tart lemony citrus fruits, light sweeter notes of ripe citrus fruits and a hint of honeyed sweetness. Quite high acidity that lends nice sense of balance and poise to the wine. Mouth-watering finish. Definitely one for the books.

Silverstream Riesling 2019
$62.00
Pale lemon-green in the glass. Vibrant and fun on the palate, offering great acidity and 4-5 g/L of residual sugar, just right. Citrus domination with a bit of green apple and melon. Bit of petrol due to bottle aging. Medium finish. An everyday Riesling with a very clean fruit character and good balance. Great for drinking with fish or light cheeses.
